The miracle of Vitamin C 💚
Vitamin C and Shingles
by Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD
Shingles is an infection resulting from the varicella zoster virus. The infection is blistering skin rash of extraordinary pain for most individuals. For years the virus remains in nerve cell BUT for unclear reasons IT breaks out.
The rash will generally resolve in two to SIX weeks. The pain is generally lessened little by analgesics.

Treatment of Shingles with Vitamin gave 2,000 to 3,000 mg of vitamin C by injection every 12 hours OR 1,000 mg vitamin C by mouth every 2 hours.
The complete pain relief was reported within 2 hours of the first vitamin C injection.
All patients received a total of five to seven vitamin C injections.
The blisters on Dr. Klenner's patients were reported to begin healing rapidly, with complete resolution within the first 72 hours, that treatment needed to continue for at least 72 hours, as recurrence could readily occur even when the initial response was positive.
Similar clinical response by chickenpox and shingles to vitamin C is further evidence, albeit indirect, that the chickenpox virus and the later appearing Herpes zoster virus are the same pathogen (Klenner, 1949 & 1974).

Vitamin C and Viruses
The most important factor in the treatment of any virus with vitamin C is to give enough and for a long enough period of time.
Vitamin C therapy can never be considered a failure in an acute viral syndrome until have been used in large doses.
- 1,000 to 5,000 mg of liposome vitamin C daily
- Bowel tolerance of vitamin C as sodium ascorbate
- Intravenous C, 25,000 to 150,000 mg daily.
Vitamin C accumulating inside viral particles can rapidly destroy viruses by that approach.
Viruses accumulate iron and copper, and these metals are also part of the surfaces of viruses.

SHINGLES [Herpes Zoster] TREATMENT THAT WORKS
Shingles can be cleared up by using a safe, convenient, inexpensive, nonprescription treatment of vitamin C. Vitamin C is anti-viral and anti-toxin and inactivates the virus that causes shingles. If you have shingles and want relief, you can try this:
Go to a discount store and buy a large bottle of 1000 mg vitamin C tablets. The cost should be less than $15.
Begin when you wake in the morning by taking 1000 mg of vitamin C every 30 minutes and continue until you have a single episode of loose stool (not quite diarrhea). If you haven't had loose stool after 15 hours on this dosage, increase the vitamin C to 2000 mg every 30 minutes.
After you have a loose bowel movement, reduce the dosage and You will quickly find the dosage that is right for you.
Adjust the dosage of vitamin C downward to stay below the dosage that will cause loose stool and adjust it upward to relieve shingles symptoms. Continue the oral vitamin C therapy until the shingles disappear.
With vitamin therapy, at any given quantity, frequently divided doses are more effective than one large single dose.

Foods that can fight shingles
Garlic, Onion, Apples, Cherries, Papaya, Kiwi, Spinach, Beets, Avocados, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Chlorella, Lemon, Brown rice, Goat milk.
Drink 8 glasses of water or more.
Avoid Foods high in Arginine if you have herpes zoster (Shingles)
Egg, almonds, walnuts, gelatin, coconut meat, oat, pumpkin seeds, milk, chocolate, beer, sugar, grapes, berries, orange juice, tomatoes, cucumber, potato chips, spirulina, onion green, oatmeal, sugar, and white bread.
These foods tend to promote the growth of the varicella zoster virus.
Choose foods that have relatively more lysine than arginine and avoid foods that are significantly higher in arginine than lysine.
Apply coconut oil on the affected area several times a day can help to cure shingles. Eat 2 spoons of coconut oil daily or mix it into food.
